One of the effective ways to actually fight ADHD symptoms is through proper nutrition and exercise. As such, celebrity chef Jamie Oliver has dedicated his life to making nutritious and healthy meals that are delicious. Jamie’s efforts to promote healthy food in the United Kingdom has earned him a formal recognition from the Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH). To be specific, Jamie has been raising causes for combating childhood obesity and has been joining community work for his food foundation.
Jamie Oliver struggled a lot in school as he was diagnosed with both ADHD and dyslexia. ADHD has the effect of being unable to concentrate and and focus while dyslexia affects one’s ability to read and write. With the lack of focus and troubles in reading and writing, Jamie performed poorly in school.
Jamie goes on to promote that the education system is not inclusive to all students because each person has different intelligence. Career
Jamie worked at his parents' restaurant when he was still young. This influenced his choice in choosing a career path. As such, he enrolled in the Westminster Catering College then he worked for reputable restaurants. Jamie became known when he appeared on television in a documentary. He was working in the River Cafe in London. After this, he became famous to many people because of his cooking show, “The Naked Chef”. He also published cookbooks and restaurants that all have the goal to make children eat healthier. Currently, Jamie is under bankruptcy for his chain restaurants. From his empire of 25 restaurants, today only two are opened.
